Julia Peters is working  as a freelance producer and director since 2006.

She started her career volunteering in production and cinematography.

After being trained and working as an editor she carried on as an assistant director, mainly for national series and children's programs.

Since 2004 she has been working as director of TV series for all major broadcasting stations.

In 2013 she absolved an intensive training at the “Masterschool Drehbuch” in Berlin and graduated as a scriptwriter for film and TV.

In between she was writing and realising her own film projects, mostly dealing with social issues.

Her projects have been nominated and awarded lots of times on international movie festivals. Aditionally her projects have been honored with the title of "Besonders Wertvoll" ("Highly Valuable").

In 2012 she founded as one of three partners the production company Monoloco Films.

She is taking key responsibilities for script development and dramatic composition. The focus of her work is on social dramas.
